Cuban medical brigades have treated more than 100,000 COVID-19 patients worldwide

Professionals of 34 Cuban medical brigades, who joined those who provide services in 59 countries, have so far treated 109,211 patients with COVID-19, Bruno Rodriguez, Cuba’s foreign minister, reported today.

In a context where the pandemic threatens everyone equally, solidarity and humanism save lives, Rodriguez recalled in his official Twitter account.

The medical cooperation of the Caribbean island, including the confrontation with the new coronavirus, is present in 23 nations in the region, including Mexico, Guatemala, Peru, Guyana and Saint Lucia.

Furthermore, it has spread to other parts of the world such as Italy, Algeria, Gambia, Namibia, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, Mongolia, China and Vietnam, among others.
