People’s movements in the US demand end to blockade against Cuba

On Friday, September 22, dozens of citizens belonging to different people’s movements marched in New York City demanding an end to the US imposed blockade against Cuba. They also demanded that president Joe Biden take Cuba off the state sponsors of terrorism list, stating that it is not Cuba which has the largest military budget in the world. Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canel also joined the rally and chanted along with the people, “Cuba, yes! Blockade, no!

That is also the case for those countries suffering the imposition of unilateral coercive measures that constitute a serious violation of the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations. Those measures gravely hinder the efforts of the affected countries towards the achievement of the SDGs and sustainable development in general. The international community, including the United Nations system, should continue to firmly reject the imposition of those measures and to work for their unconditional lifting.

US Aggression

Statment from Cuba Support Group Ireland

Cuba support Group Ireland stands united in condemnation of the terrorist bombing of the Cuban Embassy in Washington DC on the 24th of September 2023. Two Molotov cocktails were thrown at the building, which was occupied by the ambassador and his diplomatic staff. The attack happened just hours after the Cuban president left the United States where he had addressed the UN General Assembly on behalf of the G77 +China nations, representing almost 80% of humanity.

Like all UN member states, the United States is obliged by the Geneva Conventions to protect the embassies of foreign governments and any terrorist attack is prima facia evidence of a dereliction of this treaty duty. In reality, the United States has permitted, even promoted, acts of terrorism against Cuban diplomats and against the civilian population of Cuba for decades, yet has the gall to place Cuba on the List of Terrorist States, when clearly Cuba is the recipient, not the perpetrator, of terrorism.

Let us remain steadfast in our support for Cuba and its people.

This is how the Fifth Generation War, whose territory of conquest is the human brain, works: it makes certain victims turn the aggressor into a savior; and an elaborate strategy of social lobotomy becomes a “spontaneous protest for freedom”.

The Legacy of Lester Mallory: Brief Statement Against the U.S. Economic War Against Cuba

For sixty years the U.S. has sought to create a U.S. policy, in the words of Mallory (1960), that “while as adroit and inconspicuous as possible makes the greatest inroads in denying money and supplies to Cuba, to decrease monetary and real wages, to bring about hunger, desperation and the overthrow of government”.
