STATEMENT: Association of Cuban Residents in Ireland

The Association of Cuban Residents in Ireland rejects those who are determined to encourage hatred between Cubans people and incite social unrest and violent acts that have nothing to do with the legitimate expression of our concerns and dissatisfactions.

Never from those who encourage the blockade and aggression will be able to become solutions to our problems.
We reaffirm our condemnation of the Yankee economic blockade against the Cuban people, a direct victim of that cruel policy that we consider to be the main cause of the economic difficulties suffered by our family.
It is a shame that President Biden just last week refused to lift the ban on remittances to our families, he has made evident the cruelty of his policy.

We demand that the US government cease its aggressive policy towards Cuba and undertake the normalization of relations, beginning by resuming consular services in Havana.

We celebrate with joy with our family and all the Cuban people in general:
That our children return vaccinated to schools;
That international tourism resume due to its positive impact on the revival of the economy;
That more than 10 million Cubans have at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine and we begin to trace the effects of the pandemic.
We believe that sovereign Cuba will know how to resolve our affairs without external interference. Our solutions have to be as Cuban as our national bird Tocororo, our national flower La Mariposa and our national tree Palma Real.
United we can build the diverse Cuba that we all dream of.
