{"id":7861,"date":"2022-11-20T10:11:00","date_gmt":"2022-11-20T10:11:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cubasupport.ie\/latest\/?p=7861"},"modified":"2022-11-19T19:15:33","modified_gmt":"2022-11-19T19:15:33","slug":"cubans-trust-vaccines-and-how-theyre-helping-vaccinate-the-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cubasupport.ie\/latest\/cubans-trust-vaccines-and-how-theyre-helping-vaccinate-the-world\/","title":{"rendered":"<strong>Cubans trust vaccines and how they\u2019re helping vaccinate the\u00a0world<\/strong>"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"394\" height=\"259\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.cubasupport.ie\/latest\/wp-content\/uploads\/Screenshot-2022-11-19-at-19.13.40.png?resize=394%2C259&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7862\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.cubasupport.ie\/latest\/wp-content\/uploads\/Screenshot-2022-11-19-at-19.13.40.png?w=394&amp;ssl=1 394w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.cubasupport.ie\/latest\/wp-content\/uploads\/Screenshot-2022-11-19-at-19.13.40.png?resize=300%2C197&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 394px) 100vw, 394px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"> Cuba continues to be at the forefront in the development of medical treatments for the benefit of mankind, especially in diseases such as Alzheimer&#8217;s and Parkinson&#8217;s disease.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is also willing to transfer its technologies to other nations on a non-profit basis, as has always been the motto of the Cuban Revolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In an interview with H\u00e9ctor Vera Cuesta, director of the International Center for Neurological Restoration (CIREN), conducted during his visit to Mexico by La Jornada newspaper colleagues Carolina G\u00f3mez and Laura Poy, the scientist informed about the superior development of new technologies for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer\u2019s and Parkinson\u2019s disease and other illnesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He explained that based on a molecule discovered by Cuban scientists from CIREN, and the advance represented by the substance NeuroEPO, neurons are prevented from continuing the process of degeneration and the quality of life of patients is improved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Cuban neurologist, an expert in medical genetics, adds that the results in Parkinson\u2019s and Alzheimer\u2019s patients have been \u201cspectacular\u201d. The study began with Parkinson\u2019s patients and they detected that this substance improved their motor condition, but much more the cognitive part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, he said that it is one of the molecules \u201cthat is going to be the talk of the world. We recently published a joint article with the Center of Neurosciences of Cuba, which confirms, with a well-developed statistical analysis, that it is effective.
