Donald Trump leaves the White House doubly defeated: he could not win presidential re-election, nor could he overthrow the governments of Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua; against which he used all the methods of punishment and aggression within his reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the Trump forces are not finished, far from it. They are trying to make a deep impression on American society and beyond. At this point, Trump still does not acknowledge his vast defeat in the election; Nor does it stop sowing problems for the administration that will come: a few days ago it even threatened to attack Iranian nuclear sites to abort any purpose of dialogue with that country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Cuba, the current administration has a particular anger: more than 120 punitive measures that exacerbate the already criminal economic, commercial and financial blockade, and have not been able to overthrow the Revolution.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With that thorn and the encouragement of the forces of the anti-Cuban right that gave it the vote in the last elections, the current administration does not stop organizing plans and provocations against Cuba, hoping to give the final blow before January 20; or at least leave the track very hot to the Biden government so that it cannot consider a civilized coexistence with the Caribbean archipelago.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The newly elected government has not yet publicly agreed with that anti-Cuban counterrevolutionary right, which voted against it and accused it of being “socialist” and even “communist” in a fierce McCarthy-style media campaign. Rather, he has publicly said that he plans to return to the policy of rapprochement between Cuba and the United States that Obama only managed to start in his last term, and that in such a short time he was able to demonstrate that it is possible to live together in peace and cooperation, focusing in the common points, respecting the differences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The survivors of the conflict, the promoters of evil against the Cuban people, those who have benefited from the millions and millions of dollars that the United States allocates each year to the aggressive and subversion plans against Cuba, these days are in a frenzied offensive, attempted to construct a pretext to engage the future US government with aggressive anti-Cuban hostility.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are looking for an updated version of the well-known “shoot down of the Brothers to the Rescue planes” that forced the 1996 president candidate Bill Clinton to renounce the rapprochement with Cuba and turn the Helms Burton project into law to tighten the blockade and draw the neocolonial future of the rebellious country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They intend to foster social instability, encourage frustrations, take advantage of the difficult circumstances of a country that has had to fight a tough battle against the COVID-19 pandemic amidst severe lockdown measures and the paralysis of its main source of income, The tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They bet on the possible destabilizing leadership of small sectors of the culture that they have been financing and sponsoring for years, and they seek to confuse youth sectors affected in their aspirations and quality of life by the same policy of imperial suffocation against Cuba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Army General Ra\u00fal Castro expressed in a speech before the Cuban Parliament on April 19, 2018: \u201c\u2026 one of the permanent bets of the enemies of the Revolution is to penetrate, confuse, divide and distance our combative youth from the ideals , history, culture and revolutionary work, sow individualism, greed, the commodification of feelings and induce new generations to pessimism, detachment from ethics and humanistic values, solidarity and a sense of duty ” .<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

It is intended to ignite a spark that leads to a social outbreak in the style of those rehearsed and executed in the Arab world or Ukraine. And this is encouraged with total cynicism from digital social networks, both from the State Department and its embassy in Havana and from the annexationist mafia in Miami. Those who feed on information only in those digital spaces will think that in Cuba there is a civil war these days or a generalized social protest.<\/strong> Towards such a scenario, the empire and its pawns on duty would like to lead the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cuban Revolution has the experience of more than 60 years of fighting against the intentions of US domination and against a counterrevolution based in the northern country that has resorted to armed invasion and terrorism to try to overthrow it. It has, in particular, the majority support of a people, whose mobilization in these days of threats is the main strength and the best bastion in the face of nonsense. And it also has a culture, an intelligentsia, a plethora of artists and creators that are truly anti-imperialist, who are the nation’s sword and shield in the face of attempts at domination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cuba is experiencing a new moment of challenge to which it owes and responds from intelligence, firmness of principles, the capacity for dialogue to make the country better, and the essentially revolutionary strength of its people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The great Cuban thinker Jos\u00e9 Antonio Saco has warned us since the 19th century: “Let us not be the unfortunate plaything of men who, with our sacrifice, would like to take over our land, not for our happiness, but for their benefit” […] “I would like that Cuba was not only rich, enlightened, moral and powerful, but that Cuba was Cuban and not Anglo-American. “<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
